What is Rave Relief?
Rave Relief is a lovingly curated pride party, filled with queer joy and alternative art & culture. We strive for a warm sense of community, mutual respect and appreciation among attendees. We try our hardest to represent the modern values of our various communities and the wonderfully diverse people, tastes, and perspectives which make up the LGBTQIA+.
Across the past 6 editions, we’ve stomped, screamed and sweat through countless DJ sets and drag acts, toilets queues and cheeky pashes on the balcony, and – including our collaboration years with Boorloo Justice’s Decolonise Pride in 2021 & 2022, we have raised and donated over $130,000 to charities and causes supporting LGBT+ youth, Indigenous services, crisis accommodation & local outreach programs.
Setting the scene (a loose theme)
Journeying through time and space across the spectrum of queer comradery and cum-raggery – setting sail through history, and taking flight into our future fantasies. Together we honour our colourful histories and cultural wealth, as we weave through sonic tapestries of past, present, and what’s to come.
